Arkema: could sell subsidiary PMMA

4% yesterday after the group announced the launch of a strategic review. Bloomberg says that this decision follows the activist fund Elliott taking a stake in its capital.

However, the activist fund has not yet specified its positions or its intentions, Bloomberg underlines. Before they are announced, group chairman Thierry Le Hénaff has decided to take decisions straightaway to avoid having to undergo arbitrations that the group does not want, Aurel BGC says this morning.

The strategic review could lead the group to sell its PMMA (acrylic glass) subsidiary for over one billion euros, the broker adds.
