EDF: after govt announcements, EBITDA reassessed at -E29bn
(CercleFinance.com) - Following yesterday's announcement by the government that the increase in regulated electricity tariffs for 2023 would be capped at +15%, EDF Group's targets for end-2023 will be re-examined once the terms of the regulation for 2023 are specified.
The estimate for nuclear generation in France is confirmed for 2023 at 300-330 TWh. Based on the information available to the Group, the estimated nuclear generation in France for 2022 at the lower end of the 280-300 TWh range and the 2022 forward prices as of 13 September 2022, the estimated impact of the decline in generation on the Group's EBITDA for 2022 has been reassessed at approximately -29 billion euros.
