EDF: solar power purchase agreement in California

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF Renewables announced on Thursday that it has been awarded a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Clean Power Alliance for a commitment of 300 megawatts (MW) of solar power in the US.


The agreement, which also includes a 600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), will enable CPA to provide green electricity to its customers in Los Angeles and the county of Ventura.

The project will use solar photovoltaic energy generated by the Desert Quartzite plant, an infrastructure to be built in Riverside County, California - it is set to be operational by February 2024.
