EDF: wind farm commissioned in Oklahoma
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF Energies Nouvelles' North American subsidiary, EDF Renewable Energy (EDF RE), has announced the commissioning of the Rock Falls wind farm, which has a total capacity of 154 MW, its second project in the State of Oklahoma.
A few months ago, Kimberly-Clark Corporation signed a contract with EDF RE for the purchase of 120 MW of electricity that this renewable project will generate, a first for the US consumer goods group.
This fleet consists of 60 turbines and different equipment made in the US. Over 150 people have been employed on the project since construction began in July 2017, and has provided several million dollars to the local economy.
