EDF: next steps in the Flamanville EPR tests.

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced the preparation of the next steps of the general tests of the EPR of Flamanville for the loading of fuel and the starting of the reactor.


These tests, which will enable the correct operation of all EPR circuits to be checked and tested, began in the first quarter of 2017 and will continue until the end of Q4 2018.

During the so-called "cold" tests, numerous operations will be carried out, including testing the leakage of the reactor's primary circuit at a pressure of over 240 bars (greater than this circuit's pressure when it is in operation).
