EDF: acquisition of a photovoltaic project in Brazil.

(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian Solar and EDF Énergies Nouvelles have announced the conclusion of a partnership for Canadian Solar's sale of 80% of the Pirapora III photovoltaic project (92.
5 MWp) to EDF EN do Brasil, a local subsidiary of EDF Énergies Nouvelles.

Located in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, the Pirapora III project has a 20-year power purchase contract. It is currently in the construction phase and is scheduled to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2017.

EDF EN do Brasil is responsible for the construction and operation of the project. It had previously acquired 80% of Canadian Solar's shares in the Pirapora I (191.5 MWp) and Pirapora II (115 MWp) projects.
