Eutelsat: contract with Strong Roots Ethiopia Broadcasting

(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat Communications has signed a contract with Strong Roots Ethiopia Broadcasting Service.

The contract covers Ku-band capacity on a 36 MHz transponder onboard Eutelsat's Eutelsat 8 West B satellite.

These in-orbit resources will enable Strong Roots to launch a new free-to-air Direct-to-Home (DTH) broadcasting platform in Ethiopia and the Middle East.

The company will distribute news, entertainment, sports, education and children's programmes as well as documentaries and films in standard and HD formats.
