Alstom: wins big order in India

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced that it has been awarded a contract by MPMRCL (Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited) to deliver 156 Movia cars with 15 years of full maintenance for the Bhopal and Indore metros in central India.


Worth 387 million euros, the order includes the installation of the latest generation of CBTC signalling system, as well as train control and telecommunication systems, each including seven years of full maintenance.

Alstom is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 52 standard Movia metro trainsets, each consisting of 3 carriages. 27 trainsets are for Bhopal and 25 for Indore.
