Alstom: EU approves Bombardier Transportation takeover

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has authorised Alstom's acquisition of Bombardier Transportation.


This authorisation is subject to Alstom's full compliance with a set of commitments proposed by Alstom.

Alstom has proposed a series of commitments to address the Commission's concerns. The Commission therefore concluded that the deal, as amended by the undertakings, would not pose any competition issues.

This planned acquisition is set to be completed in the first half of 2021.
