Alstom: Oddo hails solid Q1 - maintains 'buy' rating

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday morning, an Oddo BHF analyst confirmed a "buy" rating on the Alstom share, appreciating a solid Q1 in the current crisis, along with a confirmed outlook for a recovery.


After this crisis-ridden quarter, the broker expects a clear improvement in momentum, which seems to be already underway as of mid-July. The rail market should recover well from the crisis, supported by States and the European Union. It continues to benefit from cleaner transport policy choices, which have been reaffirmed in recent months. Alstom is a healthy sector leader and the planned acquisition of Bombardier Transport should strengthen its position and profitability, it says.

Oddo BHF thus confirms its target price of 46 euros for the share.
