Alstom: technological cooperation agreement with Safran.

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom and Safran have announced that they have signed a cooperation agreement at Le Bourget, the initial aim of which is to pool the two companies' skills and expertise in electric propulsion.


This will focus on two main themes: components and technologies for electric propulsion equipment, and electric and hybrid propulsion systems as a whole for aircraft and public transport vehicles.

The joint research programme will involve research institutes and universities, as well as innovative SMEs. Collaborative projects initiated under the cooperation should see the light of day by 2020.
