Engie: sells stake in a renewable energy portfolio

(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced signing an agreement with Hannon Armstrong to sell a 49% stake in a 2.
3 gigawatt (GW) renewable energy portfolio. Engie will retain control of part of the portfolio and continue to manage the assets.

The energy group specifies that the portfolio concerned includes 13 projects (nine onshore wind projects for 1.8 MW and four solar projects for 0.5 MW) located in key areas for the US market.

Hannon Armstrong will become the owner of 49% of the wind projects in operation, representing a total of 663 megawatts (MW). The remaining projects (1.6 GW), which are currently under construction, will be integrated into the partnership as soon as they are commissioned.
