Engie: confirms its full-year targets

(CercleFinance.com) - After a recovery in its accounts in the second quarter, Engie still expects an acceleration in the second half of 2019 and has confirmed its full-year forecasts.


The French energy company finished the first half of its 2019 financial year with sales of 33 billion euros, up 9.3%, including organic growth of 7.6%. EBITDA remained virtually flat (+0.6% at 5.3 billion euros), as did recurrent net income, group share from continuing operations, which was unchanged at 1.5 billion euros.

"Softer first quarter followed by a significant improvement, resulting in a first half driven by strong Energy Management, Nuclear and an improvement in Client Solutions performance in the second quarter," said group CEO Isabelle Kocher.

"Expected full year profit growth remains weighted towards the second half," Engie said, which has confirmed its FY 2019 forecasts. This includes net recurring income, group share of 2.5 billion to 2.7 billion euros.
