Engie: contract in India in solar energy.
(CercleFinance.com) - After the end of a call for tender, through its subsidiary Solairedirect India, Engie has won a solar project with a total capacity of 338 megawatts peak (MWp).
The French energy giant had made a competitive offer at 3.15 rupees (about 48.7 dollars) per kilowatt hour (KWh).
A new park called "NTPC Kadapa" will be built in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India and will be commissioned in mid-2018.
With this project, Engie will have a total capacity of 810 MWp peak in the country, where the group currently has around 560 employees.
