Engie: a major solar project in Côte d'Ivoire.

(CercleFinance.com) - Last weekend several media spoke of Engie's project consisting of the construction of a large solar thermal power plant in Cote d'Ivoire.


This facility will have a capacity of 150 megawatts (MW) in Bouaké. It will strengthen the energy company's presence in the country and Engie may also want to invest in other projects in Côte d'Ivoire.

The idea of a solar power plant was launched by Isabelle Kocher, Engie's CEO, at a meeting with Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara at the end of February.
