Bureau Veritas: aims to accelerate growth

(CercleFinance.com) - The group reported Q1 2018 sales of 1.
10 billion euros, up 4.7% at constant currencies relative to Q1 2017.

Five of the group's six businesses reported average organic growth of 3.6%, including Certification +6.7%, consumer goods +5.9% and building & infrastructure +4.1%, the group specified.

However, the Marine & Offshore business recorded negative organic growth of -8.5%, not yet benefiting from a resumption of new orders. Over FY 2018, Bureau Veritas expects slightly negative organic growth at this division.

For FY 2018, the group expects organic sales growth to accelerate relative to 2017, coupled with a slight improvement in its adjusted operating margin at constant currencies compared to FY 2017, with improved cash flow generation at constant currencies compared to FY 2017, management explained.
