iliad: Unieuro welcomes entry into capital

(CercleFinance.com) - Iliad announced on Tuesday that it had taken a 12% stake in the capital of Unieuro, an operation that the Italian consumer electronics distributor immediately welcomed.


The arrival of a new prestigious shareholder, which is willing to accompany the company in its long-term growth on the basis of an already successful commercial partnership, is further proof of the market's interest in Unieuro, it said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Iliad referred to two years of "fruitful" collaboration in the distribution of its SIM cards through "Simbox" terminals installed in 200 of the 500 sales outlets that the Italian distributor has.

On the Milan stock exchange, Unieuro's share price rose by more than 1% on Wednesday morning following the announcement of this stake. Meanwhile, iliad shares are flat in Paris.
