Kaufman & Broad: 2017 a vintage year; 2018 starts well

(CercleFinance.com) - Kaufman & Broad, the first of the major French real estate developers to publish its accounts, has published annual results that have not disappointed expectations.

The group will propose to raise its 2017 dividend by 13.5% and the year 2018 has got off to a good start, management said.

At the end of its 2017 fiscal year (30 November), the group recorded turnover of 1.4 billion euros (+12.3%), including 1.2 billion euros for housing (+14.5%). This reflects a slight slowdown at the end of the year as over nine months, these rates were respectively +13.5% and +18.5%.

However, the global backlog, which is a forerunner for future business, has risen by 16.1% to 1.85 billion euros, including +22.8% for housing to 1.7 billion euros. These rates have accelerated relative to the trend set over the first nine months.
