Orpea: first sustainable public bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - Orpea has announced that on 25 March it issued its first "Green & Social" public bonds, dedicated to the financing of assets and/or projects that have environmental and social impacts.


These bonds, which total 500 million euros, have a seven-year maturity and a fixed interest rate of 2.00%. The transaction was doubly oversubscribed to by over 130 investors of 10 nationalities, with an order book of over 1 billion euros.

The long-term care group intends to allocate an amount equal to the net proceeds from the issue to existing or future eligible green and/or social assets or projects, as set out in its Sustainable Financing Framework.
