Orpea: FY sales reach 'a record level'

(CercleFinance.com) - Retirement home operator Orpea has announced FY 2020 sales of 1,017 million euros, up 6.
4% y-o-y.
While business declined in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America (-22.4%), Eastern Europe (+3.5%), Central Europe (+4.7%) and France Benelux (+10.2%) all saw recoveries..

FY, sales amounted to 3,922.3 million euros, which Orpea said is "a record level," up 4.9% compared with 2019.

Orpea points out that as at 8 February, 66% of its nursing home residents had received the first dose of the vaccine.

The group adds that 4,055 new beds should be added in 2021, particularly in the second half of the year (32% in France and Benelux, 20% in Central Europe, 23% in Eastern Europe and 25% in the Iberian Peninsula and Latam).

Orpea will communicate its sales growth target for 2021 when it publishes its 2020 annual results on 16 March.
