Orange: reaches 6 million customers on fiber network

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange today announced that it has passed the 6 million mark in fiber customers in France, a figure that confirms the strong appetite of residents for this network, which the operator describes as the most reliable and efficient ever built.


By the end of 2021, the company had deployed 63% of the 29 million premises eligible for FttH (fibre to the home) in France. With a 20% increase in eligible premises in one year, France is now the country with the most fiber in Europe.

In 2022, Orange will continue its work in all the areas for which it is responsible for deployment. In the AMII zone (Call for Expressions of Intent to Invest), Orange has already exceeded the initial objective, based on the INSEE database, with over 11 million homes to be connected by the end of 2021.
