Orange: launches a smartphone for the visually impaired

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange has announced the launch of a new initiative for accessibility by teaming up with Kapsys, a specialist in mobile telephony for blind and visually impaired people, by offering its SmartVision2 Premium.

As the only Android smartphone that is 100% "made in France" which is suitable for use by visually impaired people, it has a simplified interface that combines three control modes: the 4 inch touch screen, the physical keyboard and the vocal recognition system.

The SmartVision2 Premium is available for sale from 20 September in about fifty Orange stores. Free training is given by the association HandiCaPZéro, a partner of Orange and Kapsys.
