Orange: undersea cable contract with MainOne

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange and MainOne Cable Company announce the signing of a contract overseeing Orange's investment in the MainOne undersea cable, which currently includes a 7000 km cable and landing sites in Nigeria, Ghana and Portugal.


This partnership will ensure the construction and installation of two new branches and landing sites, to connect the cable to Dakar (Senegal) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast) by mid-2019.

Orange will be the owner of the site in Dakar. Orange Marine, which is 100%-owned by the French telecommunications giant, has been entrusted with the management of the installation of these two new branches.
