Orange: launch of Orange brand in Burkina Faso.

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday afternoon Orange announced the launch of its brand in Burkina Faso, less than a year after completing the takeover of Airtel, a joint venture with Orange Côte d'Ivoire.


Wanting to strengthen its positions in West Africa, the incumbent has already been the first to launch mobile financial services and mobile Internet 3.75G in the country. It will continue to develop in these areas, where it is currently the undisputed leader.

Its "Orange Money" solution, which provides international fund transfers, will be extended to more countries in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
