Renault: Hyvia unveils two new hydrogen vehicles

(CercleFinance.com) - Born from the union of Renault Group and Plug Power, a global specialist in hydrogen solutions, Hyvia is set to unveil two new prototype hydrogen-powered light commercial net zero vehicles, which also have an increased range and a recharge time of just 5 minutes, Renault said today.


Both vehicles - a Renault Master Chassis Cab H2-TECH and a Renault Master City Bus H2-TECH - will be presented in the coming days at the Eurexpo show in Lyon and the Salon des Maires, in Paris.

The former offers a range of around 250 km and numerous possibilities for customised conversions with a 19 m³ load space, while the latter can carry up to 15 passengers with a range of around 300 km.

Equipped with a 30kW fuel cell, Renault says that both vehicles will be available in 2022 with solutions for the production and distribution of green hydrogen.
