Renault: creates Renault ElectriCity industrial pole

(CercleFinance.com) - Three Renault factories in northern France - Douai, Maubeuge and Ruitz - are joining forces to create the largest and most competitive electric vehicle industrial pole in Europe, Renault ElectriCity.


Management said that this major industrial project both aims to produce 400,000 electric vehicles per year by 2025 and bring together a complete ecosystem of suppliers, enabling the Renault Group and its brands to innovate and reduce many costs for greater competitiveness.

"This agreement, signed with all the trade unions, is proof that the commitment of employees, constructive social dialogue and a strong local presence are key to setting up a robust and attractive industrial model," said Luciano Biondo, Director of Renault ElectriCity.
