Renault: Luca de Meo set to be appointed today

(CercleFinance.com) - The Italian Luca de Meo, has stepped down from Seat, is set to be appointed Renault's CEO today at a board meeting, Le Figaro said this morning.


He should however remain in the background for almost 5 months in order to respect his non-competition clause mentioned in his contract with Seat (VW group), the paper adds. Luca de Meo will also have to respect his notice period in the German group.

Luca de Meo is expected to take office as Renault's CEO at Renault group's AGM, which is scheduled for the end of April.
