Renault: buys out Intel's R&D activities.
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Intel's French R&D activities related to embedded software, which are located at the Toulouse and Sophia-Antipolis sites.
"This acquisition is right in line with Renault's strategy of offering new connected services and improving the experience of its customers," said Carlos Ghosn, Renault's chairman and CEO.
This acquisition will be completed through purchasing a company to which the activities in question will be transferred. The finalization of this deal remains subject to usual conditions and is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2017.
