Eramet: Q1 sales up 8%

(CercleFinance.com) - Eramet has reported Q1 2021 sales of 838 million euros, which are up 8%, driven by strong growth in the mining and metals division (+18%), and despite the decline in sales of the high performance alloys division.


The group has announced very good operational performance of historical mining activities, over a quarter that traditionally suffers from unfavourable seasonality, and points to a sharp rise in metal prices in euros (+30% for ferronickel).

Noting that the markets of the mining and metals division remain positive at the start of the second quarter, for 2021 Eramet confirms its operational targets, along with the sensitivity of EBITDA to material prices and other external factors.
