BNP Paribas: acquisition for 'leasing solutions' subsidiary

(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has signed a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of 100% of IKB Leasing Romania, one of the main leasing companies in Romania, specialising in the financing of agricultural equipment.


This acquisition is expected to be finalised by the end of the third quarter of 2018, subject to approval by different supervisory authorities.

This new acquisition will enable the group to strengthen its teams of experts in Romania to support even more clients and partners in this country, where financing solutions such as leasing are in increasing demand. Indeed, the leasing market in Romania posted annual growth of +20% in 2016, funding nearly 2 billion euros worth of assets, Charlotte Dennery, CEO of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, commented.
