BNP Paribas: Belgian government cut stake further.

4% shortly after 11 am, the posted the BNP Paribas stock is the sharpest faller on the CAC 40 today.

According to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir et De Tijd, the Belgian government is considering selling more shares in the largest French bank.

The Belgian government currently holds a 7.7% stake in the bank via SFPI (Société fédérale de participations et d'investissement) and already sold 2.5% of its shares last May at a unit price of 65.1 euros, i.e. the share's price at the time of writing this text.
