Société Générale: launches its new retail bank, SG

(CercleFinance.com) - Société Générale has announced that it has completed the legal merger of its two retail banking networks in France, Société Générale and Crédit du Nord Group, on 1 January 2023.


SG is now the group's new French retail bank.

It says that this merger is accompanied by the implementation of a new relations model, enabling the improvement of the quality of service provided to individual, professional and business customers.

The IT migrations of Crédit du Nord Group banks to Societe Generale's information system will take place in two stages in the first half of 2023.

Branch mergers will begin in the second half of 2023, with a first stage of 150 mergers (30%). 80% of the mergers will be completed by the end of 2024, and 100% by the end of 2025, it said.
