Société Générale: successful 'blockchain' transaction

(CercleFinance.com) - Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Shandong Bohi Industry, ING, Société Générale and ABN Amro announce that they have successfully completed the first complete agricultural product transaction using a blockchain platform.


The improved Easy Trading Connect (ETC) blockchain prototype reduces the time spent processing documents and data, from several hours to just a few minutes, and enables a greater commercial reach, the companies pointed out.

The ETC platform was first validated during an oil transaction in February 2017, followed by the launch last November of an energy consortium aimed at providing blockchain services to the energy sector.
