Dassault Systemes: Barclays downgrades stock

(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays announced on Monday that it has downgraded its Dassault Systèmes shares from "overweight" to "equal weight", albeit with an unchanged target price of 40 euros.

In a report on European software and technology services companies, the broker says that the acceleration of digital transformation remains the sector's favourite theme at the moment.

"Growth profile, forecast visibility, macro resilience, margin trajectory - there is little in European software that does not hinge on where a company is in its transition to a cloud and/or subscription model," Barclays analysts say.

"While SAP is turning the corner to a transition tailwind, we see risk of increasing headwind for Dassault," they say.
