Publicis: quarterly revenue down 1.2% in organic terms.

(CercleFinance.com) - Publicis has announced Q1 2017 revenues of 2,328 million euros, up 1.
6% as reported, although down 1.2% in organic terms, with the result hit by past difficulties, which represented over 400 basis points.

The communications giant says that its organic growth remains penalised by the weakness of the FMCG sector. However, it benefits from the increasing contribution of budgets won since Q2 2016; particularly Walmart, HPE, USAA and Asda.

Publicis has confirmed that the second quarter of 2017 will still be affected by past difficulties, and that the gradual increase in budgetary gains should enable the group to return to more satisfactory growth in the second half of the year. Therefore, it believes that its 2018 plan should be able to proceed according to plan.
