Eiffage: to build biggest solar power plant in Benin

(CercleFinance.com) - RMT and Eiffage Energie Systèmes are to build Benin's largest solar power plant in the village of Illoulofin (commune of Pobé).

The Société béninoise d'énergie électrique (SBEE) has commissioned Eiffage Énergie Systèmes' teams - in particular those of its subsidiary RMT.

In the Defissol project, RMT specialists will install 47,212 photovoltaic modules of 530 Wp each (total power of the plant: 25.85 MWp), string inverters and six power transformer stations (each with a capacity of 3 MVA) in Illoulofin.

The Illoulofin photovoltaic power plant will produce 35 GWh of electricity per year, enough to cover the energy consumption of 180,000 people.
