Eiffage: participates in Liège tramway project in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage Energies Systèmes is participating in the Liege tramway project for OTW, the Walloon transport operator, Eiffage said today.


On this site, the electricians from the group's Belgian subsidiary, Eiffage Collignon, are working in a consortium with Duchêne, an Eiffage Benelux subsidiary specialising in construction, it said.

Eiffage's teams are responsible for installing a set of 13 substations and three supervision rooms along the 14 kilometres of track linking the Standard Liege stadium to the Coronmeuse district.

The Belgian teams are also responsible for the work related to the fitting out of the buildings and associated car parks: laying cable trays and lighting, pulling cables, lighting buildings and supplying electricity to two car parks.

The Liège tramway project, which began in June 2019, will continue until October 2022.
