Rémy Cointreau: in talks to acquire Telmont Champagne

(CercleFinance.com) - Rémy Cointreau has announced that it is in exclusive negotiations with the Lhopital family to acquire a majority stake in the capital of the company Champagne de Telmont.


This company produces its champagnes under the brand name "J. de Telmont". This House is one of the last family estates in Champagne.

The scope of the acquisition offer includes the brands, inventories, production tools and real estate assets of the estate, as well as vineyards in Champagne.

"This acquisition would enrich Rémy Cointreau's portfolio of exceptional wines and spirits with a high-end champagne brand that offers significant growth potential overtime, especially on the international market," the group said.

The deal is expected to be completed during the third quarter of FY 2020/21.
