Vivendi: takes stake in PRISA

(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi announces that it is taking a 7.
6% stake in PRISA's capital, which is the leading media and education company in the Spanish-speaking world, which owns El Pais, Santillana, Cadena SER, Radio Caracol, AS and Los 40 Principales.

The taking of this stake is part of its strategy to strengthen its position as a global content, media and communications group and to broaden its access to Spanish-speaking markets in Europe, Latin America and the United States.

Vivendi points out that it already owns the Spanish television production company Bambu Producciones and one of its largest video game production studios in Barcelona. It also operates ticketing services in Spain.
