Casino: agreement with Ocado for its OSP platform in France.

(CercleFinance.com) - The Casino group has announced signing with Ocado, an online food distribution group with home delivery, an agreement for the development of the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) in France.


“Groupe Casino's banners will benefit from this innovative grocery e-commerce platform, firstly Monoprix.fr, which will provide its customers with the largest assortment of food items at the best levels of services and costs,” the group explained.

The agreement provides for the commissioning - within the next two years - of a CFC ("Customer Fulfillment Center") warehouse in the Paris area, using Ocado's patented material handling equipment so as to make deliveries to Paris, Ile-de-France, Normandy and Hauts de France.
