Vinci: MainFirst on hold

(CercleFinance.com) - With Vinci set to publish its Q3 sales figures tomorrow, Mainfirst recommends that investors maintain their shareholdings, having set a target price of 72 euros for the share.

The analyst sees upside potential in the near term, although points out that the environment remains difficult, with European air traffic and French construction that are "very fragile and at risk".

Indeed, after a slight improvement, traffic is once again subject to global travel restrictions. As for construction, Mainfirst fears that in the short term, "the order picture may hold the Group's infrastructure business back"... but fear when looking at its Chinese peers that things won't be that easy; “Its Chinese peers have performed poorly, despite the recovery”. "We are concerned that Vinci might experience a similar set back," analysts conclude.
