Vinci: Eurovia to build section of a Czech motorway

(CercleFinance.com) - The Vinci group announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary Eurovia will build a 14.
7 km stretch of the D35 motorway in the Czech Republic.

The contract is worth 119 million euros, for work that will take place from August 2018 to the spring of 2023. This will involve the construction of 22 structures, including a 451-metre viaduct, as well as a bridge that will be turned and pushed over a major railway track near Uhersko station, a first application of this technique in the Czech Republic.

The D35 motorway runs through the Czech Republic from the east to west. After repairs to the D1 (4 contracts obtained between 2014 and 2017), the completion of new stretches of the D8 at the end of 2016, as well as that of the D3 and the D11 in 2017, Eurovia has confirmed its position as a partner of the Roads and Highways Department of the Czech Republic The motorway network is expected to expand by over 50% by 2030, reaching 2,000 km, thereby contributing to the improvement of mobility in this country, Vinci said.
