Vinci: contract in Ivory Coast

(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Wednesday we learnt that the consortium Sogea-Satom (agent), subsidiary of Vinci Construction, Egis, Baudin-Chateauneuf and Alcor has won a contract for the design and construction of the stadium of Yamoussoukro, the political and administrative capital of the Ivory Coast.

Amounting to 72 million euros, the contract covers the construction of the main stadium of Yamoussoukro and the renovation of four training grounds, close to the city (rehabilitation of grounds, changing rooms and lighting).

The new stadium will be able to seat 20,000 spectators for matches of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) organised by the country in 2021. A synthetic coated athletics track will surround the pitch, in addition to areas for jumping and throwing events.

The work will start this month and will be completed in June 2020.
