Vinci: contract for an electricity network in Scotland

(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci Energies, through its brand Omexom and in a joint venture with Morgan Sindall, has announced that it has won a 30 million pound contract to design and build a new electricity transmission system in Scotland.


This new 18.5 km power transmission contract concluded with SSEN will link the Knocknagael Transformer Substation with the new Tomatin Transformer Station in Inverness, in the north of Scotland.

Once operational, the new infrastructure will reinforce the Scottish High Voltage network and in particular will contribute to the connection of the onshore wind power plants located near Tomatin.
