Ingenico: merger in DACH region finalised

(CercleFinance.com) - Ingenico Group announces the closing of the merger of BS PAYONE, a subsidiary of Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, with Ingenico's Retail assets in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), after having received all regulatory authorisations.


The joint-venture, renamed Ingenico Payone Holding GmbH, will be owned 48% by Deutscher Sparkassenverlag and 52% by Ingenico Group, is expected to generate average annual sales growth in the low teens, with EBITDA growth of in the high teens from now until 2021.

"The deal will give birth to the undisputed leader in payment in Germany, the third largest European market and one of the most promising in terms of electronic transactions while cash payment remains predominant," the group said.
