Capgemini: contract for European Data Portal

(CercleFinance.com) - Capgemini Invent has announced a six-year framework contract with the Publications Office of the European Union to further develop the European Data Portal into a new service, Data.
Europa.EU, with associated consultancy and research work.

The new service will combine the two existing European data portals and their efforts towards facilitating open data publishing and reuse across Europe, the IT services company said.

The new Data.Europa.EU portal, which is due to be launched this spring, will provide access to public data resources across Europe from a single point of contact, while supporting EU institutions and Member States.
