Saint-Gobain: divests business in Denmark

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has entered into an agreement with Davidsens Tommerhandel to sell its Optimera building materials distribution business in Denmark, a transaction that is expected to be completed in the second half of 2019.


Having 17 sales outlets, warehouses for building materials and logistics centres, Optimera Denmark's sales reached approximately 120 million euros in 2018. Saint-Gobain remains heavily present in distribution in Denmark through its brand Brødrene Dahl.

Saint-Gobain says that this deal is part of its strategy to optimise its portfolio, with the group aiming to make disposals representing salse of over three billion euros by the end of this year.
