Saint-Gobain: acquisition in Norway
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has announced that it has entered into an agreement with the owners of Per Strand to acquire 100% of this group's shares, which operates in the north of Norway and which has 12 sales outlets, having generated turnover of around 100 million euros in 2016.
This acquisition, which is subject to approval from the Norwegian competition authority, will enable Saint-Gobain to strengthen its position in building distribution in one of its key geographical areas.
"The generalist brand Optimera strengthens its nationwide market leader ship position as a distributor in Norway with 115 branches," the French building materials group stated.
