Saint-Gobain: announces acquisition in Brazil.

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announced this morning the acquisition of TekBond, presented as the “number two adhesives business in Brazil operating in the construction sector and on the automotive after-market”.


None of the financial conditions of the transaction have been specified.

The target firm, which makes adhesives, sealants, sprays and masking tapes, will join the High-Performance Materials business of the French building materials group.

Saint-Gobain expects “to create important synergies with the Abrasives, Mortars and Flat Glass business lines on the construction and industrial markets”, but does not quantify them.
