Plastic Omnium: JV EKPO wins contract with AEDS

(CercleFinance.com) - Plastic Omnium has said that its joint venture EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies (in which it holds a 40% stake) has just signed with AE Driven Solutions (AEDS), an exclusive contract to supply fuel cell stacks of the type NM5-evo.


It said "The stacks are designed to meet AEDS's key criteria of performance, durability, and smooth operation and are to be fitted to delivery vehicles as part of the company's system integration efforts, the aim being to offer environmentally friendly drive technology in urban spaces".

The automotive supplier adds that this multi-year contract represents a total estimated value of several tens of millions of euros, and that the launch of mass production is scheduled for the first half of 2022.
